Carciofi alla romana - artichokes


4 large artichokes

some mint

1 garlic

salt and pepper

100 ml of oil

250 ml of water

1 lemon

How to procede:

Clean the outside leaves and the stalk as in the picture.

Make a mix of finely chopped mint, garlic, salt, pepper and oil.

Open the flower (the artichoke), insert s

ome mix.

Take a tall saucepan, put them inside with the flower towards the saucepan as in the picture, pour the oil and the water.

Cook for about one hour on medium heat, always covered.

Delicious with a roast, lamb, ideal at Easter time.
